Cookie policy
This page sets out the cookies and similar technologies used on this website, what each one is for, and how to change your choice at any time.

The short version
We do not set any analytics or advertising cookie until you have accepted it. Nothing happens if you ignore the banner, and rejecting is one click, exactly like accepting. You can change your mind whenever you like:
Strictly necessary storage
We store one thing without asking: your answer to the cookie banner. It is kept in your browser's local storage under the name bkh-consent-v1, it holds only the word "granted" or "denied", it never leaves your device, and it exists so that we do not ask you the same question on every page. Storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for does not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
Our hosting provider may also set short-lived cookies needed for security and to deliver the site correctly.
Analytics cookies
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful and where visitors come from. This tells us things like how many people looked at the services page; it does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it for advertising. Analytics is not currently switched on for this site — the controls below are in place ready for when it is.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets the following cookies:
_ga— distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years._ga_<container id>— keeps track of a single visit. Expires after 2 years.
Until you accept, these cookies are not set at all. We use Google Consent Mode, which means the analytics tag is told to store nothing by default and only begins storing data if you opt in.
The map on our contact page
Our contact page can show an embedded Google map. Loading it allows Google to set cookies on your device, so we do not load it unless you have accepted. If you have not, you will see a placeholder with a button that accepts this site's optional cookies and loads the map, and a link that opens the same location in Google Maps in a new tab instead — no cookies are set on this site by using that link.
Advertising cookies
We do not use any. There is no Google Ads tag, no Meta Pixel and no remarketing on this site, and all advertising storage is explicitly disabled. If that ever changes, this page will be updated and you will be asked separately before anything is set.
Managing cookies in your browser
As well as the controls on this site, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of this or other websites working as intended.
